What can we learn about science from toys ?

We have been doing a really great inquiry – all about toys and how they work. We have learned new words like gravity and friction and how lots of toys need “push and pull ” to make them move and work. We have made toys out of cardboard boxes and have made puppets, windmills, whirligigs, colour wheels and lots of others. Toys can work/move with wind, batteries and lots of other different things. We are collecting old broken toys and trying to work out what made them work. This unit has been great and we have learned a lot. Oscar , Hamish, Ali and Hannah. Junior M
